Are you ready to win the war on waste?

STA are offering you the chance to take part in Artist-led creative making workshops (separate sessions for adults and kids) to turn everyday waste into magnificent works of art. Enter your work into the Illuminate Wollondilly Waste to Art Exhibition and Competition for a chance to win and show your environment cred.

The Illuminate Wollondilly Waste to Art project inspires people to think differently about waste, litter and over consumption through creative thinking.

Creative Making Workshops

Be part of FREE Artist-led creative making workshops. Separate sessions for kids and adults in Goulburn and Picton. 

Discover how to recognise waste and rubbish that can be upcycled into art materials and learn a variety of techniques and processes upcycled materials into 3D art.

An extensive range of salvaged materials and all tools provided (you can bring some waste to transform as well)

Have fun and WIN THE WAR ON WASTE.

Illuminate Wollondilly Waste to Art  Exhibition and Competition

Enter the Waste to Art exhibition for a chance to show your environmental and creative skills.

Entry is free and open to all residents of the STA region (Hilltops, Goulburn Mulwaree, Upper Lachlan, Wollondilly, Wingecarribee, and Yass Valley).

Exhibition will be on display 10am-2pm Thursday 16 – Saturday 18 September Colden Street Exhibition Area Picton

12pm Thursday 16 September – Official opening and announcement of winner

Key Dates

  • 5 July – Entries open – enter here
  • 8 Sept – Entries close
  • 10 Sept – selected entries announced 
  • 13 Sept – Selected works delivered to Councils Administration Building, Picton 
  • 16 -18 September – Exhibition open
  • 20 Sept – Works picked up

Winners of the three (3) categories will be announced at the opening by the Mayor of Wollondilly Shire Council.
