Wollondilly Waste To Art Prize 2026
16 - 18 July
The STA Region’s premier Waste to Art exhibition, with $2700 in prizes over three categories.
The WW2A Prize is an annual Wollondilly Shire Council project delivered in partnership with STA.

Fix Your Broken Items – The Wollondilly Waste to Art Prize theme for 2026 is reuse and repair so STA are planning our first event Wollondilly Repair Café. Join our community of skilled volunteers and get your belongings repaired in a sustainable way.
Loose Parts Play Wollondilly

On the grass in front of the Wollondilly Shire Hall.
Spend some time with the team from Reverse Garbage as they bring their special brand of recycled fun to Picton for the Wollondilly Waste to Art Prize.
Loose Parts Play is an open-ended play experience that supports young people and their families to develop risk management skills, self-confidence, imagination, and communication skills.

Window Wonderland

Join Southern Tablelands Arts at the Wollondilly Arts Alive Festival as we create a window wonderland in the spectacular foyer of the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre. We need your help to create a giant community mural of colour, shape and light to illuminate the windows at the WPAC. Use our specially created colour film to transform an ordinary set of windows into a glorious riot of colour that will light up the festival. There might even be a few dinosaurs to be found in the final design.
FREE & Fun for everyone in the family to enjoy, children to be accompanied. All materials and equipment provided.
Arts Alive Festival

Initially mentored by Cherry Hood, acclaimed watercolour artistand over the years the group met at Cherry’s studio while developing their individual talents and styles. Cherry has now moved away and this group continues to work together.

Songs of the Garden – a slow, hands-on pottery experience inspired by natural forms.
In this workshop, you’ll transform a wheel-thrown ceramic box—already thoughtfully made by Danielle—into a blossom-inspired keepsake. Using clay moulds, you’ll create and apply delicate floral details, building a soft, layered design across the lid.
