Stories from the Studio: PAINT THE TOWN Wingecarribee

This week we caught up with a few of the PAINT THE TOWN artists who are currently painting up a storm around the Southern Highlands!

PAINT THE TOWN brought together nationally established artists to work simultaneously with local talent to create murals that reflected our recovery journey since the 2019 black summer fires! These murals were inspired by co-design workshops held with fire effected community members earlier this year. It is a celebration of art that brings colour, vibrancy and culture to our region and represents the voices and insights of fire effected community members

Right now there are 10 artists who have been painting across the Southern Highlands! Including Sophi Odling, Fintan Magee, Warwick Keen, Zoe and Xander from Muralisto, Ash Johnston (Snarl), Sam Hall, Dashanti Carr, Jodie Munday and Joe Quilter!

Find out more about the artists, and wall locations!

Here Sophi Odling, Samuel Hall, Zoe Suji and Joe Quilter talk about their murals!
