Expression of Interest to participate in the Thirlmere Festival of Steam Parade

After a difficult few years with COVID, Wollondilly Shire Council is happy to announce the

comeback of the Thirlmere Festival of Steam.

Wollondilly Shire Council and Transport Heritage NSW are planning the return of the Thirlmere Festival of Steam on the weekend of 11-13 March 2022. The event will be held over three days with a ‘Romance the Rails’ dinner, market stalls, steam train rides, carnival rides, colourful floats, carnival characters, entertainers, bands and a street parade.

The street parade which is a core event in the Festival’s program is currently scheduled to take place at 11am on Sunday 13 March 2022.

We are currently inviting community groups, businesses, associations, schools, churches, individuals and cultural groups to submit an expression of interest to perform in the 2022 Thirlmere Festival of Steam Street Parade. The parade is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community, its creativity, and showcase our many groups, organisations and businesses to the community and visitors.
