STORY AND IMAGE CALL OUT GUNNING RAILWAY STATION

Sydney Trains and exhibition design company, FRD are working together to bring the history of the Gunning Railway Station to life through heritage interpretation and community stories.

We are working with the Gunning and District Historical Society – and we are also looking to the wider community for stories big and small, extraordinary and ordinary to uncover the story of Gunning Railway Station.

If you or anyone you know has any images or stories about Gunning Railway to share, please contact email [email protected] or phone Bobbie on 61 2 9281 9045

  • Did you ever depart, arrive or work on the railway at Gunning Railway Station before 1989 (when the station building closed)?
  • Do you remember the carriages, platform, station buildings or the signal box? The smells, the sounds, the travellers?
  • Do you have old photos, postcards, letters, memories or personal stories about the Gunning Railway Station?

If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are specifically looking for old photos, postcards, letters, memories or personal stories about the Gunning Railway Station between 1900-1989 (when the station building closed).

If possible we would like original copies of images to scan and return or high definition digital copies. If we decide to use your image or story in the interpretative display we will contact you.
