Stories from the Studio: Stah Power
This week at Stories from the Studio we talk to Stah Power at Zero Central Circus. Stah Power is all about grit and passion, especially in the circus scene. Take, for example, a pro who just launched her own spot, Zero Central Circus. She’s been rocking circus acts since ’97 and teaching since the early 2000s, focusing on Aerial Hoop, Trapeze, Hammock & Silks, Aerial Yoga, and all things stretchy and strong.

Stah trained hard at The National Centre for Circus Arts in London for two decades, keeping her skills sharp with one-on-one sessions in Swinging Trapeze, Aerial Hoop, Silks, and Tightwire, learning from top-notch teachers who are her circus fam, until the Covid era hit. But she didn’t let that stop her, she kept training outside and in sheds and started her circus school towing a trailer full of crash mats from venue to venue. And it’s not just about her—she’s been sharing the circus love by teaching Youth Circus since 2018, bringing the thrill to places like Brookfield Primary School in London. With props from The Arts Council England and other big names, she’s a true circus powerhouse making waves in the scene.

If you are keen to have a go, sign up to the Autumn School Holiday Workshops this April , which cater to absolute beginners and a new improvers offering for those with existing skills.
