Creative Music Week is FREE music workshops for Young People aged 12-25 at the Venue Bowral.

Presented by Southern Tablelands Arts, River Road Creative Academy and Reframe.

Separate workshops for ages 12-16, 16+ and Young people living with a disability. 

It’s youth led music making, song writing, composition, film sound design, audio mixing, interactive listening. guitar drums bass and vocals, performance and games.

Thursday 27 Jan: Young people living with a disability. 10am – 3pm

Friday 28 Jan: Open Workshop 10 – 3pm

Workshops will be held at The Venue in Bowral.

About Patrick Nellestein & River Road Creative Academy

River Road Creative Academy supports people of all ages and backgrounds to explore music making and the creative arts via imagination, self expression, and discovery. This includes providing a holistic learning environment, which balances creative development with life skills and self reflective practice.

Patrick is an experienced music and production teacher, having been Head of Composition & Music Production at The Australian Institute of Music for 10years, and Quality Manager as SAE Creative Institute. Patrick has an undergraduate degree and Masters Degree in Music, and has been lecturing in universities, music schools, and private teaching for 20years. Patrick’s creative background includes producing albums but also writing music for Film and TV including Channel 10’s the Project, and various Channel 9 and ABC programs.

Patrick is also an experienced music therapist engages with community initiatives and programs, as well as working with local psychologists and wellbeing services.

About Reframe

ReFrame is a FREE service for young people aged 12-25 in the Wollondilly and Wingecarribee areas.  ReFrame is the provision of psychological therapies delivered by our Mental Health Professionals and Youth Engagement Workers.

ReFrame is walk-in based and outreach. We provide information, support and services for young people who are having a tough time managing:

Stress Anxiety or worry, Depression, Feelings of sadness, Physical health, Family and relationships, Study or work

How do I access the program?

Anyone can refer to ReFrame and is not limited to General Practitioners.
