Ensemble Offspring are one of Australia’s foremost and progressive ensembles. Each year they invite student applicants across the state to work with them as part of their HATCHED Academy outreach program. This year, two of Hume Conservatorium’s most outstanding students have been selected to be involved in the HATCHED – HOME program:
HOME Academy
Created in 2020, in 2021 Hatched HOME Academy will run in July. Offering one-on-one mentoring sessions with Ensemble Offspring’s core musicians (flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano, percussion, conducting) who will generously share their advice and experience in instrumental or composition lessons, industry advice, grant writing advice and more!
Alexei Caulfield (Recorder – Goulburn High School) and Bryn Wood (Percussion – Mulwaree High School) will have the opportunity to work directly with instrumental mentors from Ensemble Offspring to experience the music industry and learn about the opportunities and processes involved in establishing a career as a professional, creative musician. This meaningful linkage with top professional musicians is an incredible advantage for young musicians just at the start of their careers! Congratulations Alexei and Bryn!
