Dance & Music for Wellbeing
STA have partnered with our friends at Hume Conservatorium to delver the Dance & Music for Wellbeing program. Part of the new Hume Con Daytime Music Program.
Dance & Music for Wellbeing is therapeutic dance and movement class suitable for seniors and . Created originally for people living with Parkinson Disease and people living with disability. The program promotes positive creative ageing.
Participants learn choreographed dances for physical health, well-being and a love of dance and music in a social setting.
Dance & Music for Wellbeing classes are conducted by Jenny Hargraves, a professional practitioner who has worked creating music in the disability sector leads the class in a supported environment at Hume Conservatorium.
Dance & Music for Wellbeing continues the legacy of the much loved Dance for Wellbeing program run by STA between 2018-2021 with classes in Goulburn with Liz Barling and in Picton with Bonnie Curtis.
