‘This week Stories from the Studio, STA caught up with Olivia Pearl in Goulburn, where she performed at our Annual General Meeting. A rising pop singer-songwriter from the Southern Tablelands whose haunting vocals and evocative lyrics are steadily gaining attention across the Australian music scene. Since emerging with her debut single ‘We’ll Never Know’, Olivia has impressed listeners with her expertly crafted songwriting and emotionally rich performances.

Her talent quickly gained recognition in 2023 when she placed in the Top 40 of the APRA AMCOS Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition, alongside major Australian acts such as Ball Park Music and Ruel. She has since shared the stage with acclaimed artists including ARIA-nominated Odette and ARIA Award winner Conrad Sewell, further cementing her reputation as a standout new voice.
Olivia’s music blends vulnerability with bold storytelling, often inspired by whimsical worlds and storytelling traditions. Tracks like ‘Penelope Song’, influenced by Bridgerton, highlight her imaginative style, while her recent single ’60 ZONE’ has been praised as “utterly infectious,” drawing comparisons to contemporary pop artists like Chappell Roan. Her growing profile has also seen her named Highland FM’s 100% Home-Grown Artist of the Month, with the station describing her as “one of the most compelling voices on the Southern Tablelands music scene.”
Momentum continues to build following her live performance on Power FM after winning their talent competition, where she was labelled “one to make sure you remember.”

Now, Olivia is preparing to celebrate a major milestone with the release of her debut album ‘All Roads Lead to This’, written entirely by her and produced alongside Stephen Lindsay of Oceanic Records.
