20 March Ceramics Clay Hand-Building workshop

Surrounded by a Scottish Highland cattle stud at Joadja, Turned Around has workspaces for wood turning and furniture rejuvenation and upholstery, as well as a studio space for workshops.

The Ceramics Clay Hand-Building workshop will be led by guest tutor Tracy Tazewell. Tracey developed a passion for clay 25 years ago and works as a Visual Arts teacher in Sydney. She continues her love of ceramics, practicing both wheel-thrown functional ware and hand-built forms.

Participants will gain hand building skills to create a large ceramic planter with a focus on surface decoration using a variety of carving techniques and stamping with natural found objects. Finished works will not be available to take home on the day as firing and glazing will need to take place off site. This will be an approximate three-week turnaround.

This one day workshop will run from 9:30am to 4:30pm and will cost $190 per person. Morning tea is provided and lunch is BYO.
