STA have been checking in with Wollondilly Artist Joe Quilter as he works towards a new mural in Picton.

The mural pays tribute to front line workers of Wollondilly, who have been so critical in the community after the  bushfire, flood and then covid. Commissioned by Macarthur Credit Union  it features a Firefighter, SES worker and Nurse.

The mural replaces a previous one painted by Joe that depicted a firefighter and a koala.

Joe’s work can be seen around Picton on the Silos by the Hume Highway and the cow that was painted during illuminate Wollondilly as live art.

Joe received a Top Spots grant earlier this year to paint a mural at the Skate park in Picton. We look forward to sharing the resulting work later this year.
