Call out for propsals to exhibit or run workshops at Connect@GunningStation

We are looking for Artists and Creatives to exhibit and/or run workshops at Connect@GunnningStation.

This opportunity is open to all artists, at all stages of their career, working in any media and community based Cultural Organisations. Creatives and Organisations must be existing STA Members or be eligible for STA Membership (living within one of the seven LGAs that make up the STA region).

Artists are invited to submit expressions of interest to exhibit and/or run workshops that will run alongside a diverse program in 2024 and 2025.

With the support of the Stronger Country Communities Grant we are able to award a number of exhibitions FREE of charge in 2024 and 2025 from the submitted proposals. Exhibitions are for a period of two consecutive weekends roughly aligned into seasonal allocations. There are four exhibition periods a year, with up to three exhibitions per period.
Successful exhibitions may also be eligible for financial support for curatorial development and installation costs.
Exhibition opening hours are professionally staffed by the Connect@GunningStation Gallery Officer.

Connect opportunities also extend to professional creative workshops for the community to enjoy. These can be proposed as a public program in support of an exhibition or as a stand-alone workshop.

We have funding to pay professional creative facilitators for the delivery of a number of full and half day workshops. Workshop facilitators will need to hold PL insurance and have an ABN.
