WOLLONDILLY ARTS GROUP CALL FOR ENTRIES – ARTS ALIVE – ART EXHIBITION

WOLLONDILLY TO CELEBRATE ARTS AND CREATIVITY AT NEW ‘ARTS ALIVE’ FESTIVAL THIS OCTOBER
Celebrating creativity in all its forms, the Arts Alive Festival is coming to the Wollondilly Shire this October, offering a range of free activities and activations. The Festival is proudly funded by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW. The event will feature a vibrant street party, live performances, hands-on workshops and stunning visual light displays, along with roving artists, markets and food trucks in the centre of Picton.
As part of the festival, the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre will offer guided tours of the facility and present free performances of the theatre production ‘The Gardener’s Apprentice.’ The festival will also feature interactive workshops, arts and makers markets, an art exhibition, an Aboriginal weaving workshop, Aboriginal dance and music, Japanese drumming and craft activities, providing an array of free, inclusive and accessible activities to all people and age groups.

As part of the Festival, Wollondilly Arts Group is curating the ARTS ALIVE ‘Art Exhibition’ at the Wollondilly Shire Hall Art Spaces, Menangle Street, Picton. Artists from Wollondilly, Southern Tablelands Arts (STA) and Macarthur regions are invited to submit entries to exhibit their works for the exhibition. Wollondilly Council has kindly allocated $1,000 for the ‘Arts Allive Exhibition Prize’* $500 for the ‘People’s Choice Award’, and $250 as the ‘Encouragement Award’. Enter on-line or by downloading the ‘Entry Form’ and ‘Conditions of Entry’ from here on the downloads page from Friday 26th August 2025. Submissions close: 5:00pm Friday, September 26th., 2025. No late entries will be accepted. *All entries accepted for the Exhibition will be viewed by the Judges. The Judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence entered into. A $10 Entry/Hanging Fee is applicable to accepted entrants payable on drop-off day, 9th October 2025.
