Stories from the Studio: Yass Community Gallery and the Visual Arts Society of Yass

The opening of a new gallery space in our region is big news and today STA was proud to be at the opening of the Community Art Gallery in Yass. In fact Executive Director Rose got to do the honours of opening the gallery with Mayor Allan McGrath.

The space has been possible through the vision and hard work of the Visual Arts Society of Yass (VASY). With a little funding from STA and a lot of hard work the members of VASY  have transformed a dark and rather uninviting area within the Yass Community Centre into a gallery full of light and art. Just in time for the Yass Valley Arts Trail this weekend.

STA are proud to have been part of the journey that has seen the creation of this wonderful gallery, and we congratulate the members of VASY who put in the time and hard work to have the realise the gallery.
