Stories from the Studio: Janno from the Irish & Celtic Music Festival in Yass

This week the STA team got to hang out with Janno Scannes at the launch party for the Irish and Celtic Music Festival in Yass.  Great CRAIC!

Janno is the driving force behind this much loved annual music festival that puts Yass in the national spotlight and draws music lovers from far and wide.

With her amazing committee of volunteers Janno organises all the music, events and volunteers needed to make the event a success.

The Irish & Celtic Music Festival in on now! Over the weekend of 16 -18 September 2022 Yass Valley is alive in celebration of Irish and Celtic Music. You can join the fun in Yass with music, song, dance, workshops and poetry!

Set in a delightful rural valley, with a heritage rich in Irish and Celtic beginnings. A mostly walking precinct sets the scene in the centre of town for music, poetry, dance, Celtic markets and good CRAIC, in unique venues, many serving an excellent variety of food, great coffee and liquid refreshments to suit all. Historical buildings will surround you, with beautiful parks to enjoy. As the third oldest town in NSW, it has lots to offer, especially the wonderful community.
