Highlights included:
• Camera Operations: Participants handled professional cameras and tripods learning basic shot composition, focus pulling, filming a real life sequence for editing.
• Editing: Small-group sessions on the 5 edit suites taught basic cutting, shot selection, colour grading, visual effects and sound design.

This workshop built confidence, teamwork, and communication skills among local youth, while giving an insight into the opportunities for creatives in the Film and TV Industry. By providing access to professional-grade equipment and expert guidance, Southern Tablelands Arts ensured participants left with a basic knowledge of how engaging videos can be produced using everything from their own smartphones and laptops to higher end cinema cameras and edit suites.
