Stories from the Studio: STA Mobile Office 2026

STA offers regular face-to-face appointments through our Mobile Offices every month from February to November, visiting each of our seven local government areas. These Mobile Offices are designed to meet creative people where they are, removing barriers of distance, access, and time, so artists and cultural practitioners can connect directly with STA in their own communities.

If you’re a maker, artist, performer, creative practitioner, cultural organisation, or community-minded business with an interest in arts and culture, we want to get to know you better. The Mobile Offices provide a welcoming, informal space to share ideas, talk through projects, and explore opportunities for collaboration. Whether you’re just starting out or are an established creative, these sessions offer tailored support that responds to your unique practice.

Having access to STA’s Mobile Offices means creatives can receive one-on-one advice, ask questions, and gain practical guidance without needing to travel long distances or navigate complex systems alone. These face-to-face conversations help demystify funding pathways, professional development opportunities, and sector connections, empowering creatives to take the next steps with confidence.

Importantly, the Mobile Offices also strengthen creative networks across the region. By spending time in each local government area, STA builds meaningful relationships, gains a deeper understanding of local creative ecosystems, and ensures regional voices are heard. This ongoing presence supports a more connected, resilient, and inclusive arts sector, one where creative people feel seen, supported, and valued within their communities.
