Toby Williams
Toby is 12 and lives in Kangaloon. He is school captain at the small school and also attends the AG program at Moss Vale Public one day a week. Toby is Autistic and doesn’t enjoy being the centre of attention but I always encourage him to give things a go and as a result he is becoming more confident and doing really well at school. He regards his spelling to be terrible and thinks he is not creative at all but his teachers and I disagree! Toby is very tall, he loves playing the piano and pretty much any sport or game there is. He is a keen farmer, currently breeding silkie hens and fixing things around the property. He is an amazing big brother to his younger sister Imogen who he is currently tutoring in English to help her with her dyslexia. His writing has really improved over the past year and he puts this down to his love of reading, his bedroom is like a library and I regularly trip over his pile of books by his bed when I say goodnight to him!
Toby recently won the Westwords Living Stories writing prize for A Better Tomorrow in the Wingecarribee Region 10 – 12 section!
