Stories from the Studio: The Bunker Art Studio
STA recently had the opportunity to visit with Dennis at The Bunker Arts Studio, a warm and inspiring community arts space established in 2016 by local visual artist Dennis Mortimer.
The Bunker is an ideal place for anyone looking for a welcoming studio to spend productive time with other artists and creatives. You can visit the Bunker to enjoy art classes regardless of your skill level and benefit from collegial studio time.
It’s also an underground live music venue for local performers of all genres to create, play and share. Hosting concerts throughout the year while also acting as the artist’s base for The Bunker Studio,
Capo Creek will be playing a very special show, part duo and part full band. We will be test driving a few new songs and also giving some tracks from our recent album a bit of fresh treatment just for fun (fancy a little pedal steel from the great Kevin Bradley anyone?). Opening the afternoon is the incredible Chris O’Connor playing traditional ragtime and country blues (don’t miss his act, he’s awesome!). So why not come along to The Bunker 4/6 Silva Avenue Queanbeyan at 2pm Sunday July 6. It’s the coolest little underground joint around (not actually underground).

See you on the dance floor for Capo Creek, playing a very special live show at Bunker Arts Group on Sunday July 6 from 2pm. Tickets Here!
