Stories from the Studio: Connect@Gunning

This week Kate McKay from Southern Tablelands Arts  invites you to see the latest exhibition at Connect@Gunning Gallery in the carefully restored Gunning Railway Station.

Kate takes you through each of the 3 Gallery spaces. Step inside and explore the work of our local artists and their current exhibitions — each in its own unique space:

  • Baggage Handling by Lia Kemmis in the Ladies Waiting Room – following the journeys of four pieces of baggage through stories and memory. View the exhibition online
  • Flexing/Flecks Sing by Alison Ford in the Main Waiting Room – a vibrant exploration of colour, harmony and discord. View the exhibition online
  • Enjoy the Journey by Kate Tribe in the Parcels Room – cross-stitch works created on train journeys, blending narrative and stitch. View the exhibition online

Connect@Gunning is more than just a gallery — it’s a place for exhibitions, heritage displays, workshops, events, and community gatherings, all in a space brought back to life through a beautiful restoration by Transport for NSW.

We’d love to see you here on a Friday or Saturday, 10 am – 3 pm, come  to the village of Gunning and while away the spring weather with a country adventure.
