Stories from the Studio: Betty Guy
It’s always an honour to be invited to visit a creative studio and this week we visited Wollondilly artist Betty Guy who makes super adorable suncatchers that she sells at local markets.
Betty’s stall is like sparkling jewel of hanging treasures, a literal feast for the eyes. Unicorns, dragons, butterflies and more gently move and chime in the wind complete with crystal embellishments. It’s a riot of glorious colour all lovingly made by Betty at her kitchen table in Buxton.
You can meet Betty in person at one of her regular markets
Betty’s beautiful sun catchers can also be found annually at the Wollondilly Illuminate Artists Market in Picton.
NOTE: A visit to Betty’s stall in November was perfect for STA staff to get the Christmas shopping done. #GiftsThatGive
