Stories from the Studio: Graham Power Dash & Trash
This weekend is your last chance to get on the Southern Highlands Arts Trail for 2025.
And we have the perfect option for super cool and unique hand crafted garments by local artist Graham Power.
Graham Power is the Creative mind behind Dash & Trash a designer clothing label started in London in the early 1970’s with its roots firmly set in the hazy past of glam rock, punk and double drop rave culture.
Each Dash & Trash garment is handcrafted from scratch or upcycled from existing garments and embellished with glitter, screen prints and patches.
This weekend you can visit the Dash & Trash pop-up store at Zero Central Circus in Mittagong. On offer alongside the clothes are framed screen prints.
My most recent collection brings elements of glitter, `Ultra violets and psychedelic offset printing into a new millennium giving it an almost 3D quality once viewed in a discoteque or nightclub with black lighting.
Over the years Dash & Trash designs have been worn by some of fashions biggest names have worn Dash & trash designs including Blondie, John Galiano and Naomi Campbell. The pieces are super cool, iconic and sure to make a statement when next you want to dress to impress.
A visit to Dash & Trash is set to be a highlight on your Art Trail adventures this weekend.
