Postcards from Paradise: Wish you were here!
Fri 2 October – Sun 29 November 2026 at Connect@Gunning Station

ARTIST CALL OUT

Southern Tablelands Arts and curator Emma Dunnage are delighted to announce a very special exhibition opportunity for STA Members – Postcards from Paradise: Wish you were here!

This exhibition at Connect@Gunning Station is open to artists and creatives across the STA region. We invite you to think outside the square and within a postcard size rectangle – play, experiment, wander & surprise yourself.

We encourage visual artists as well as poets, musician, performers & creatives from all disciplines to be part of the show. Postcards from Paradise will embrace postcard size works of all mediums. From drawing, prints, photographs and paintings to the unexpected; written music, poetry postcards or even small sculptures and 3D work. Images of performance or video stills – let your imagination be your guide.

The only parameter is size – postcard size. Every work included in the Postcards from Paradise exhibition must be 11cm x 15cm unframed for 2D works or fit within 11cm x 11cm x 15cm for 3D work. Beyond that, the field is gloriously open. Think of the postcard not simply as a format but a small vessel for an idea, intimate, bold, playful.

This exhibition is about the richness of our collective creative community and the beautiful collision of disciplines. Whether polished or experimental, quiet or exuberant, all STA members are warmly encouraged to be part of this special event. Not an STA Member yet? – let’s fix that now.
