The Southern Tablelands Arts team were there all weekend with Tunnel lights, Lanterns and Neurons. The Lantern parade was again a beautiful addition to the festival with over 200 lanterns made in just 2.5 hours.  We encouraged a theme of Koalas this year and the kids made wonderful lanterns.

The Tunnel lights or Tunnel Books were created with artist Laura Jade Hindes and designed by students from St Anthony’s Primary School, Bargo Public School, Picton Public School, Picton High School, Yanderra Public School as well as a School Holiday workshop in the Library. The theme focused around native and animals and particularly Koalas, with students learning about local koala habitat and the importance of the Wollondilly Koalas. It was great to see so many families come along to take a look at the exhibition. It was a quiet and magical experience. Thanks to all the schools and all the kids who participated.
