You might know Jake Annetts? If you don’t you’re in for a treat this week as STA visits Jake at Pendor’s Realm in Braidwood where he creates the most magic dolls under the name ‘The Thread Man’. Whimsical and full of personality Jake’s dolls are one off works of art, each taking many hours to complete. Every doll has been carefully stitched with meticulous details imbuing the individuals with personality and style. Together the dolls look like a magical carnival gathering of the most interesting people in town.
A trip into @Pendors_Realm in Braidwood is well worth a visit. In the age of chain store shops selling the same things you already have we dare you not to be delighted by this unquie treasure cave of interesting and unquie items. You will only find Pendor’s Realm in Braidwood. While you’re there be sure to get a Tarot reading with Ange Hunter.

Judith Nangala Crispin and Jake Annetts

Exquisite photographic prints from The Dingoes Noctuary by Judith Nangala Crispin. Judith is an acclaimed poet, visual artist, motorcyclist, conservationist and volunteer firefighter. Her work has won her residencies, awards, and wide acclaim, here and overseas. Limited edition numbered copies of her new book The Dingoes Noctuary will also be available to purchase throughout the exhibition.
Jake Annetts creates fibre sculptures in the form of hand sew beings that reflect characters real and imagined. Jake is a maker and musician who has earned a cult following for his unique and esoteric creations.
Both artists hail from the general vicinity of Braidwood, this is the first time they have mounted an exhibition together and STA are immensely honoured to be presenting such deeply resolved and unique work by two of our region’s most exciting makers across al gallery spaces.

A special pop-up opening at Connect. Visit Jake Annetts who will be working in the main gallery space. All gallery spaces will be open. Tarot readings with Ange Hunter available that day.

Tarot Readings with Angela Hunter of Pendor’s Realm

STA are proud to offer Tarot Readings with Angela Hunter of Pendor’s Realm at Connect@Gunning Station at a very special pop-up opening event. Each 30minute reading offers a 12 month forecast using a combination of Tarot and Oracle cards to provide insight and advice.
