NGUNUNGGULA | VOLUNTEERS CALL OUT
We are looking for volunteers to join the inaugural Ngununggula team.
Ngununggula is a community initiative championed  by residents of the Southern Highlands.
In close collaboration with the Gundungurra First Nations people, our mission is to capture the region’s cultural vibrancy underpinned by a distinct connection to place through a dynamic curatorial agenda and community-minded approach. We recognise the value that
an active volunteer program will bring to the Gallery and our visitor experience and encourage anyone interested in donating their time and expertise to apply.
At Ngununggula, volunteers are involved in the following roles:
• Customer Service and Front of House: To welcome all visitors to Ngununggula and enrich patrons’ experience. Volunteers will provide high-level customer service and information on exhibitions, programs, events and our facilities. The role also requires basic retail assistance such as providing product information, re-stocking shelves and stock-take.
• Education and Invigilation: Assist Ngununggula staff in preparing for and delivering education programs, public programs and exhibition tours, and assisting with the invigilation of all gallery spaces to ensure public safety and security of artworks. This role requires a keen curiosity for arts and culture and education.
• Gardening: The gardens at Ngununggula are an integral part of the visitor experience. The xxx acres of gardens are a tranquil environment of towering trees, native shrubs, paddocks and wildflower meadows. Under the direction from the Head Gardener, volunteers will assist with duties such as weeding, mowing, pruning, deadheading and soil improvement.
Volunteers will play a vital role at Ngununggula. We rely on the support of committed, skilled and passionate individuals to support the Gallery’s operations and the maintenance of our beautiful grounds. We promote diversity and equality and encourage everyone who is
interested to apply.
WORKING DAYS AND HOURS:
Monday to Friday, 10 am – 4 pm, shifts will vary weekly. Each shift will be a minimum of three hours, and if available, some volunteers may be asked to assist with events and programs outside of regular hours.

Applicants must be over 18.
