We caught up with Louise Adams the first Artist in Residence with Hilltops Arts (HARTS) at the Southern Cross Cinema complex in Young.
Opening tonight is the culminating exhibition resulting from the artist work with the Hilltops community.
The exhibition includes works from the artist and also those created by participants at the three creative making workshops Louise conducting as a central part of the Artist in Residence program.
The endless delight that creativity gives me has been something that I have really tried to impart on the other creatives that have interacted with my residence. As a committed teacher and arts facilitator supporting people to build their own creative skills through the workshops has been one of the highlights of my time with HARTS.
Heather the Publicity Officer for Young Society of Artists and HARTS member would agree, ‘Being around Louise and her enthusiasm and joy is infectious. HARTS and our members have benefited so much from our interaction with the artist and the skills and knowledge she has shared with us.
The proof of the creative exchange is on the wall in Studio One at Southern Cross Cinema until 21 March.
Or head to the Hilltop Arts (HARTS) Facebook page to see what they are up to.
