Marulan Kite Festival

You can make a free Glossy Black Cockatoo Kite at the Marulan Kite Festival!

When: Sun 23 September 9am – 3pm

Where:  Tony Onions Park, George Street, Marulan, NSW 2579

Glossies in the Mist is saving the glossy black-cockatoo by working with private landholders between Bungonia and Bullio. At this year’s Marulan kite festival, the Glossies in the Mist team are inviting families to decorate their own glossies kite and learn more about the project and how to get involved. So far, over one hundred holdings are participating in the project by reporting sightings of glossy black-cockatoos or by accepting free Allocasuarina trees to plant on their properties – glossy black-cockatoos only food source!

Southern Tablelands Arts and the Southern Tablelands Science Hub are proud to support this initiative.
