IMPACT Funding for Not-For-Profit Organisations
December 6, 2019
An event every week that begins at 12:00 am on Friday, repeating indefinitely
Allows philanthropists and Not-for-Profits (NFPs) to connect, and allows NFPs to demonstrate how they improve outcomes for the communities in which they operate.
Perpetual encourages high quality outcomes by identifying organisations that can maximise their impact through:
– Good governance
– Solid leadership
– Strong strategy
– An outcomes focus.
To be eligible for funding from all trusts and foundations that are managed by Perpetual, your organisation must have at least one of the following:
– Australian Taxation Office Tax Concession Charity (TCC) endorsement
– Australian Taxation Office Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) endorsement and is covered by Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
Organisations that operate in one state may submit one application for the state in which they operate.
Organisations that operate nationally or internationally may submit up to three applications in total, provided each application relates to an activity in a different state, territory or country.
Universities, hospitals, and medical research institutions may submit one application per department, up to a maximum of three applications per organisation.
Perpetual manage hundreds of trusts and endowments that support a wide range of projects and interest areas. They therefore recommend that you apply for your organisation;s greatest strategic need. Perpetual cannot provide advice regarding which type of activity or project you should apply for.
Past funding has been provided for a wide range of projects at different developmental stages including pilot and existing projects, capacity building requests and support for early career researchers. Perpetual recognises that for organisations to achieve their objectives, funds may need to be directed towards operational costs.
The charitable trusts and foundations Perpetual manage distribute to all sectors including Social Welfare, Health, Medical Research, Conservation and Environment, education, Animal Welfare and Arts and Culture.
Funding is generally provided as a one-off grant. In some cases, multi-year funding will be considered, however this is only by invitation from Perpetual.
As a guide, grants generally range between $10,000 and $100,000. In 2019, the average grant was approximately $70,000.
