Creative Encounters

What could be better than a delicious lunch? A delicious lunch handmade in Yass and enjoyed with two impressive Artist speakers.

Creative Encounters is an exciting new lunch +Art concept hosted by VASY (Visual Art Society of Yass) on Wednesday June 17 and the Yass Lawn Tennis Club.
Inspiring our arts community through conversation and artistic expression will be guests Gina Fairley and Kerry McInnis who will be talking about each of their creative careers. Rose Marin will be leading an interactive question and answers session with both of the speakers following their individual presentations.

Another great reason to attend is for the hand cooked lunch that the VASY cooks are putting so much effort into. It’s sure to be an impressive spread with local homegrown ingredients complimented by a glass of bubbles.
Creative Encounters is supported by Southern Tablelands Arts through a CASP grant.

Gina Fairley

After 35 years of exhibition management, curating and arts journalism throughout the world, Gina launched OLIO Jewellery in the depths of the Covid pandemic. Unafraid of reinvention after an early career in jewellery making, she will share how embracing change, curiosity and experimentation in the studio can unlock confidence and creative growth.

Gina works with glass and silver through a lens of sustainability and material challenge. She has just returned from Mexico where she is researching Mexican jewellers under a Create NSW grant.
