STA and COVID-19 Safety

STA is committed to following best principles when it comes to the safety of our communities and COVID-19. We follow COVID-19 safe procedures as set down by the NSW State Government. STA is registered with the NSW State Government as a COVID-19 safe business.

Primarily STA work with partner organisations and venues where we observe the venue COVID-19 safety procedures as directed.

Where STA are hosting the activity, our processes include but are not limited to the following:

Staff, volunteers and participants

  • All STA staff and volunteers will be double vaccinated as a minimum when engaging in person-to-person STA activities.
  • STA staff and volunteers will wear PPE such as face masks following the current NSW Government requirements.
  • Must not attend work if they have symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath and fatigue), or suspect they may have been infected with COVID-19 (this includes close contact with another person diagnosed with COVID-19).
  • Must immediately self-isolate and discontinue engagement in person-to-person STA activities until COVID-19 has been excluded and they have been medically cleared to return to their activity.
  • Participants who are vulnerable to a serious COVID-19 infection should discuss with their doctor what activities are safe for them to participate in. The onus is on the member to determine their capacity to safely resume activities and attendance at events.
  • STA will contact participants via email and create posts on our social media accounts to share information on return to training protocols.
  • Participants will be reminded when attending classes to follow hand hygiene protocols and social distancing.
  • An individual who is observed to be reasonably displaying symptoms (for
  • example persistent coughing) of COVID-19 should be
  • politely asked to leave the site.
  • People are advised to seek medical advice and testing for COVID-19 if they
  • suspect they have the infection.
