STA Artist in Residence Program (AiR) at The Crisp Galleries in Yass Valley
The STA AiR is an ongoing commitment to offer residences for Artists to be inspired by the STA Region. Our home is full of extraordinary places, people and opportunities with unlimited potential for Artists to be inspired and get creative.
The Crisp Galleries is a magnificent property near Bowning in the Yass Valley and home to Peter Crisp OAM.
The residence is offered for a two week period (14 days) completed before 29 March 2024 (excluding 25 December-1 January).
Garth Prentice has been selected as STA Artist in Residence at The Crisp Galleries in Yass!
The accommodation is in a self contained two bedroom cottage with access to the extensive grounds. There is also studio space within a large hall sharing with Peter who is a globally established glass artist. The entire property is an immersive space for the successful Artist/s to be inspired and create.
STA AiR at The Crisp Galleries consists of a two week residency which includes,
Artist fee or $2000 per week for two weeks
Accommodation
Work space
$500 towards travel and living costs
$500 artist fee for a noninated public program (optional)
About Peter Crisp
Peter is a renowned Australian artist whose glass sculptures have been exhibited around the world. He has been commissioned to design exclusive pieces for royalty and for some of the most famous retailers in the world. His creativity, achievements and impact has now been recognised with a Medal of the Order of Australia.
STA have been running AiR projects since 2021 with partner venues throughout the STA region.
