RAF Quick Response Grants are now open!

Applications have officially re-opened today for the Regional Arts Fund (RAF) Quick Response Grants!

These Quick Response Grants are designed to support the immediate needs of regional artists where the activity is unable to be planned for or supported in other funding rounds, for example, access to professional development, skills development or small project opportunities that arise at short notice.

It is important to note, there have been significant changes to this program and so we recommend referring to the guidelines via the Regional Arts NSW website to find out more.

We have summarised some of the most commonly asked questions for you below!

  • When should you apply?
The Quick Response Grants are delivered each year from February to November, applications will be open from the 1st of each month and will be competitively assessed within 5 working days from the end of each month.
  • How much can be applied for?
Individuals can apply for up to $3,000.
Organisations can apply for up to $5,000. There is no minimum grant amount. However, there is a limited amount of funding that is available, so please ensure your budgets are accurate and you only apply for the funds that you actually need.
  • What else do I need to know?
If your application involves working with children, you are required to complete an online accreditation with Child Wise. This cost ($121) will need to be included in the project budget when you apply, please note, only one member of the team needs to complete the accreditation.
  • How do I apply?
When the grant round opens, you will need to follow the Regional Arts Australia online application system via SmartyGrants. You will need to make an account for SmartyGrants if you have not used it before, your application is accessible up until you click SUBMIT, or the closing day is reached.
