Winners are grinners

A big congratulations to our arts administration trainee Lillie Brown. She was awarded the 2017 Trainee/Apprentice of the year at the Goulburn Chamber Business Awards.

Lillie makes a great contribution to the smooth running of the office and helping roll out projects, setting up and managing bookings, ordering materials, putting info into the web based events calendar and opportunities pages on our new website.

We were also proud to be a finalist in the awards for best Small Business  less than 20 staff. Chair Susan Brindle and Treasurer Joanne McCauley represented the organisation at the dinner.

We also want to say a big congratulations to Wollondilly Council in the NSW Local Government 2017 Awards. Wollondilly Council won the inaugural disability award for their fantastic Stars in the Garden event held in the Picton Botanic Gardens last December, featuring the Picton Strings and the Access All Areas 2016 short film festival. This year it will be held again on Dec 1st.

The Steampunk Victoriana Fair Goulburn Waterworks was last night awarded Highly Commended in the ‘Innovation in Special Events’ category at the RH Dougherty Awards. The event is a unique blend of retro and futuristic elements, which incorporates market stalls, art, dancing, live music and many other activities. This year it will be held on Saturday October 14th.

We also want to congratulate Wagga Wagga City Council for the Local Government Arts and Cultural Award. Its great to see regional Councils doing so well.
